**Please be sure this is the correct version of the 'Thanks Badge' before buying/bidding. This is the MEN'S lapel badge with early design features, and will only fit into a jacket lapel buttonhole; Also, this is NOT the ladies' brooch/pin (with either a pin-bar and clasp fitting, or badge mounted on a bar with a pin and clasp back fitting), or the ladies' version with a simple pin and clasp back without the bar. It is not a neck-tie tie-tack. Just the simple, original, men's lapel badge, with crescent back.

(
Center Fleur-de-lys - "emblem of peace and purity". [Use of the Fleur-de-lys when Boy Scouts started, as explained by founder, Robert Baden-Powell: "it points in the right direction (and upward) turning neither to the left nor the right, since these can lead backwards again; the stars on the two side arms stand for the two eyes of the Wolf Cub having been opened before he became a scout, when he gained his first class badge of two stars. Furthermore, the three points of the Fleur-de-lis remind the Scout of the three points of the Scout's Promise".])
