Rare Vintage SPODE COWSLIP Floral Large Syrup or Cream Pitcher with Lid (RJC)
Made between 1942 and 1975, the Spode Cowslip pattern is a creamy white background with multi-colored flowers with a woven "wicker" pattern impressed in the earthenware. This item is called a Large Syrup Server with Lid and measures approximately 6" tall with lid by 4 3/8" spout to handle and 3 1/2" in diameter at the widest point. No chips, cracks or crazing. There is one possible manufacturing flaw on the rim of perhaps a stray paint mark. See the last photo. Looks brand new.
