This listing is for an antique half doll - Circa pre 1930.
She is from my private collection.
The half doll alone is 2.75 inches tall.

This is a very out-of-the-ordinary powder box /puff half doll. According to the reference book and I quote "it is amazing that any of these survived as the lid must be cautiously
raised
and lowered around the doll. Without the doll this might first appear to be a hair receiver ty the container is obviously made to look like a dress."
I have given this rare and lovely antique half doll a new life by securing her to the top of a custom made tiny wooden trinket box and adding vintage/antique laces and trims.
She has a tiny chip on her left pinky finger. I decided to add her to a tiny trinket box since her base was a little uneven and she wobbled a little.  I feel this is how sometime during her long life she lost the end of her pinky.
She has brown hair and blue eyes.  She wears a grey top with a single black shoulder strap and wears a yellow wrap over her left arm.
The trinket box is made of wood and has been finished in a soft grey color.  It features an elegant gold studded trim around the bottom of the box.
Trinket box is 2.5 inches in diameter. With the lid on it is approximately 4.5 inches tall.
This is a lovely little trinket box that would look wonderful displayed in your antique half doll collection.
